Pfizer UK

Undergraduate Programme

Pfizer is one of the world’s premier innovative biopharmaceutical companies, discovering, developing and providing over 100 different medicines, vaccines and consumer healthcare products that help save and transform the lives of millions of people in the UK and around the world every year.

Our programme gives undergraduates the opportunity to experience working in Pfizer’s Research & Development and Commercial business over 12 months. During this time, we will provide you with a unique set of experiences that will serve to develop and broaden the critical skill sets and competencies you need to be successful in the business environment. You'll be involved in important departmental activities and projects, be given a high-level of responsibility and the opportunity to really contribute to the success of the team in which you work.

It is a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into how one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies operates, while advancing your own academic knowledge and technical skills.

The programme provides paid placements across the Pfizer UK organisation from brand management to research & development. The programme commences in September and recruitment for the scheme starts the year before your placement year.

Placements are based across three of our UK sites: Sandwich - Kent, Walton Oaks - Surrey and Hurley – Maidenhead. All our sites have state of the art modern facilities, which can include (depending on location), staff restaurant, coffee shop, gym, free on-site parking and a Pfizer bus service from surrounding towns. What's more, you'll enjoy an industry competitive salary, 25.5 days holiday and a wide range of other benefits.

We are looking for highly motivated people who are good team players with a willingness to learn to join our organisation. Departments hiring undergraduates include:

Research & Development: Synthetic Chemistry, Analytical Research
      and Development, Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Commercial: Finance & Procurement, Marketing, Human Resources
      and Worldwide Safety and Regulatory.
